home cooked meal ( well, sort)

so as you all know, i don't usually cook but recently when my friend, hang moved in with me, we started started to cook. check out our delicious meals:Day 1: rice with garlic beef and baby bak choi, chicken bouillon soup and curry pho.

Day 2: supreme and Hawaiian pizza with cinnamon sticks from pizza hut

Day 3:boiled corn, potstickers, beef broth ramen.

well, we ate at CU sushi today because we were craving sushi and there wasn't much in the fridge.

so i've taken a hiatus because i've been quite busy with life because i'm going to be moving into my new apartment in a few days. though i didn't really start packing until recently (this weekend). i've been busy with classes and such. i never realized how much more work you've to do trying to learn everything in 6 weeks instead of 15 weeks. its really more fast pace than in a normal semester. i've just been reading every night. i'm taking a slavic reading and composition class which is pretty interesting. we read literature on supernatural beings, ghosts and vampire. though i'm not really into that stuff in general, somehow i don't seem to be too creeped out yet. i feel that i haven't really connected with the reading. i should start connecting and reading slowly.

i've also been running for at least a mile the past couple of days. i don't know whether i feel better or not. we'll just have to wait and see.

oh, this is probably late but i'm so excited that hines ward won dancing with the stars! and its a second mirror ball trophy for kym johnson! congrats! maybe i'm a little bias being a huge football fan, but i really liked his dances and its really entertaining! props for kristy and maks for making it to the finals and chelsea and mark for the creative and fun routines!

speaking of tv shows, i'm so excited for the bachelorette because they're travelling to hong kong! i'm quite excited to see what places they hit up on dates and stuff!

new beginnings for some

so finals are officially over! that took a while. so its the night of graduation. it hasn't really gotten to me until now that some of my closest friends here at cal are actually graduating and moving on with life. sometimes it makes me think about the day i get to do that same...hopefully, someday in the very near future it will also happen to me :) graduations are quite emotional for me even though if its not my own. it seems so bittersweet and i can't wait for that day that happens. anways..but there are 2 people who needs a shoutout!

CONGRATULATIONS TO MY GIRLS, LAURA AND XUEMIN!!! i'm so proud of your guys! you guys did it! (you did it in 3, xuemin) The world awaits you!!

though it is sad to see these two move on with their lives, i'm also so happy that they're graduating because it's definitely been a journey for the both of them. i'm also so grateful to have met them the past year or so because they both have made my live so much more interesting and happy.

perhaps, more pictures to come soon. if i ever find them. lol

on a side note, SUMMER HAS BEGUN! i get the week off because summer classes start again. i'm quite excited for summer to start because i'm going to be spending the next month and a half with two of my closest friends this summer and july 4 in new hampshire with sneha and sarah (need to get on this ASAP) and going home (its been too long!)!

busy and getting excited!

so for the minimal updates lately, i've been kind of busy (though not really) since classes ended last week and dead week started. getting ready for finals! kind of ready to get semester over with.

i think i need to be little happier from now and not get angry and annoyed with people too often. lately, i have just been a little upset frequently. but anyways, it is time to move on.

on a happier note, i have been catching up with the voice lately and its really good! some of the contestants are really talented. somehow i'm really like christina agulera. yeah, i know, i'm starting to like her at the wrong time. lol i actually really like the movie she starred in recently, burlesque. as promiscuous as it is and its usually not my thing. the songs and the dance numbers are just really catchy. oh and of course, my favorite dancer of all time, julianne hough is also in it! yes, i'm obsessed with Julianne since i saw her on dancing with the stars. shes awesome!

speaking of dwts, its down to 5 now! i going to admit, i'm not as into it as i was before but i've been keeping up. unfortunately, kendras luck ran out this week and was eliminated but she really gave a run for her money. and i love kendra's personality, it is just so hilarious and optimistic and at times, ridiculous. haha

the nfl draft also happened this passed weekend. though i'm not too into the draft, it marks the start to the 2011 football season so of course i would keep track of it. though my draft critics grades the pats draft pick with a C grade, i beg to differ. as mysterious and cryptic the pats can be at times, you know how well they utilize the draft. they don't pick the most well known stars of each years draft, put their picks turn out pretty well. i mean, when the infamous tom brady got drafted in the six round in 2000, no one knew who he was and didn't think highly of them then but look how he turned out? so i'm pretty confident that these picks are good. just wait to see how they turn out. and this gets me real excited for the 2011 football season. it is about to start! this is the year, pats!

ps. everybody got to check out espn's the brady 6! its fantastic, you get to see tom brady get emotional and his vulnerable side comes out! even if you hate him with a passionate, wouldn't you want to see him cry? lol anyways, its a good documentary about tom and the 6 quarterbacks who got drafted before him and how they all turned out. its really interesting!
