summer is (almost) here! officially.

so i guess i haven't gotten a chance to really update of my life the past couple of weeks. this 6-week summer session has really gotten me running around. well not really...i have just been really busy here in there.where i'll be spending my july 4th weekend!
so lets see...the past month I :
  • finished 2 summer classes.
  • moved into my new studio closer to campus. those 20 minute walks to class was not doing it for me.
  • gone to every single class that i'm supposed. major accomplishment! this is the first since i came to college.
  • been doing pretty well in both of my classes.
  • got my first A- on an english paper. YAY. in the history of my academic career, i've never gotten such a good grade for a literary paper.
  • been able to run at least 1 mile without stopping.
  • been able to live with two of my closests friends in college.
  • finished paper drafts ahead of time so it gives me time to edit. (see how i get excited about whole writing thing recently?)
  • been able to cook a meal that does not involve just eggs, frozen foods and ramen.
  • limited my soda intake. (yes, i used to drink soda at least once a day)

so, it all... I have been pretty accomplished this month! i'm quite proud of this list of accomplishments. I have been so successful in forever!

well there are clearly other things to work on as well. in the next couple months i plan to:
  • enjoy my break as much as possible and really relax.
  • spend some good quality time with my mom when i get home.
  • continue exercising once in a while.
  • continue my healthy habits to life.
  • appreciate what has been given to me. (yes, i know)
  • limit shopping and really learn how to save money.
  • be happy :) (don't hold grudges so much).
  • oh, and perhaps play nice with my roommate, xuemin. lol

since i just went to my last class just now, it means SUMMER IS OFFICIALLY ABOUT TO START!! ( i say about to because i still have 2 final papers to turn in over the next to days. but i'm getting excited!)

but, as much as i'm excited for summer to actually begin, i'm going to have to say goodbye to two of my closests friends before I head home in 2 weeks. i won't be seeing them for at least 5 months when they are off studying abroad!

what better way to get my summer rockin' than spending some quality time with two of my best friends outside in New Hampshire? i'm SOO looking forward to this weekend! i try to update as much as possible.

busy, busy, busy (really?)

who knew that wallowing around in my apartment could waste so much time? this past weekend, i literally spent most of my time in my apartment attempting to get some work done. clearly, that didn't work out too well.
my roommate and i went for a run on friday before heading to chinatown to pick up some groceries. i can't get enough of the bread at princess bakeries. i bought a new loaf of the pork floss bread for the past 2 weeks. took a 5 hour nap afterwards. it was intended to be that long...
went to thai house for lunch on saturday with some family friends. the food was pretty average there. i ordered the pad see ew. the portion was decent. i don't know whether i would want to go back there. though they do have a nice patio to soak in all the sun. continued to sit around more. watched episodes of so you think you can dance. season 8 is pretty awesome! i shall elaborate and talk about it more in another blog post. went to gypsys for godfather's favorite with a friend for dinner. haven't had it in quite some time. i'm usually not a big fan of creamy pastas but this one was bomb!
intended to sleep in but not that long (i really need to change my sleeping habits). attempted to work on my english paper which i have avoided revising for the longest time. i was planning to revise that on friday and get working on my final research paper for my other class. which clearly didn't work out. got really frustrated while editing my paper with my mentor. sometimes i don't understand how my analytical writing (or writing in general) makes complete and perfect sense to me but to everyone else...its just gibberish and a headache. i have been trying to resolve this problem for the longest time and it has continued to bother me.

i guess this weekend will be crunch time! another week week and a half before its officially summer!

From Bleacher Report: 5 Bold Predictions for the 2011 NFL Season

Lightning Doesn't Strike Twice: Patriots Defeat Jets in Playoffs

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/717049-new-england-patriots-5-bold-predictions-for-the-2011-nfl-season#/articles/717049-new-england-patriots-5-bold-predictions-for-the-2011-nfl-season/page/4

Walking to a friend's dorm to watch the Divisional Round last year, I thought about how awful it would be for the Patriots to lose this game. How it would legitimize the Jets as our rival when I always wanted our rival to be the Colts. Then I thought about the Patriots' 45-3 dismantling of the Jets in Week 13 and remembered that losing this game was an impossibility.

It won't happen again; and this is the only point in this article where I'll admit that I have no real reasons to think so. I'm letting my emotions get the better of me; this can't happen again. We have the better offense, and great offense beats great defense. The Packers beat the Steelers. The Heat beat the Celtics. The Patriots will beat the Jets.

----------
yep, thats right! rex ryan better watch out because he has no idea what is coming at him. you may have beat us, or even beat us again during the regular season and even continue with your trash talk but there is no way you're taking this away from us again because we'll go all the way this time.
