from bodega bay to tlc
So a couple weeks ago, I headed to Bodega bay with a couple of friends and staff members from a organization that i'm involved in this semester. we rented a house by the beach. a day before our retreat, the earthquake and tsunami hit japan. the waves apparently so big that it would potentially hit the west coast the next day. that night (early morning) i was talking to a friend and i was freaking out about getting washed away when i get to bodega. we now know that it was useless panic because im fine and alive :)
it was good to get away for the weekend in the middle of the semester. thought most of it was just relaxing and laying around, it was still well worth it. i got to watch tv for a bit. when there is cable, i really take opportunity to watch tlc because it is hard to fine the shows on the feb. i'm quite the sucker for tlc showers though it may seem quite boring and pathetic to some people. i watch a bit of dc cupcakes which was pretty cool. it's similar to another show on the channel, cake boss but obviously a slightly different concept. then, i got to watch bits of a show called, say yes to the dress. its a show on stylists picking out wedding dresses for brides to be. got a glimpse of all the different types of wedding dresses one that choose from. perhaps one day i would get that opportunity to do that same.
i must say tlc shows are extremely appealing to me. i don't think i've been bored or wanted to change the channel for any tlc show. i've watched a variety of stuff on that channel and they've all been pretty appealing to me from cooking shows to police related shows.
anyways, back to bodega...
so besides from the tv time that i got, we also went to the beach to chill for it bit. by then, it was still quite cold so we didn't get to go swimming. i dipped my toes into the water and it was pretty cold. but at least the sun was shining there.
we also headed to a salt water taffy place called patricks. though the taffys weren't actually from bodega (they were actually from slc, utah), they were still delicious. then we headed to a kites and candy but the taffys were pretty disgusting. i only ate one of them and i threw the rest away. we also heading to a crab shack place where they served crab cakes, chowder and crab sandwiches. the prices were pretty expensive. but we stilled tried a chowder. it was pretty good. oh, there was also a hot tub at the house and we spent some time in there. it was pretty nice.
ok, thats it more now. perhaps more blogging later.
toodles,
j
