Let the Memories Continue...

The last bit of my photographic journey. The LACMA, Pink's and Hollywood. Who goes to LA and not see Hollywood? Not this girl.

It was a free day at the LACMA. I'm not usually a museum type of person but they do have some pretty cool contemporary exhibits.

So we went to Pink's. The world's famous chilli dog that even celebrities and royals go there. To be honest, I think there are other better hot dog places out there like Top Dog. Well, I'm not really a chilli dog type of person but I think I could have lived without eating one of those chilli dogs but hey if the world raves about, I'd check it out too. The wait for a chilli dog was about an hour.

We then tried Mashti Malone, a Middle Eastern ice cream place nearby. When you first walk in there, it doesn't have the greatest decor. They have the exotic flavors that I really like-- lavender and rosewater. Call me weird but those are actually my favorite ice cream flavors. I had the creamy rosewater flavor and it was really good! If you're up to try some curious flavors, it'd be a good place to do.

By the type we got to the Walk of Fame, it started to downpour. But, we still gave it go anyways. Despite being all wet, we still managed to take a few shots.

The infamous lamps outside the LACMA.

Someone was having fun with a piece of art.

Hang got in trouble climbing on those tubes. lol

Inside the LACMA. I have so many pictures with the two of them looking like this.

HARRY POTTA!

Eddie Murphy.

Woo. Meryl.

Adam Sandler

 The infamous Chinese theater.

Madame Tussand's wax museum. Xuemin with Lucy.

Hang wanted a picture with Chuck Norris but I guess Xuemin's not impressed.

Thats the last of the sequences. I'll post some miscellaneous ones soon.
Until next time,

Soooo Cali

I always get the feeling that I'm always one step behind. Well...I guess I am in some ways. Who knew working with photos can be quite tedious sometimes. Anyways, here is the next part of my journey over spring break. Well, more like half of a day (looking too many pictures onto one post isn't too effective). Exploring parts of LA. It was drizzling for part of it but I guess that sun decided to come out.

Kogi: A korean-mexican food truck. It actually tasted different from what I expected it to taste but still good. I thought it would be a burrito with kimchi and barbequed meat. In reality, it actually tasted more like a mexican burrito with hints of korean flavors to it.

Next off to the Santa Monica Pier. This is the quite location that I think of when I think of LA. Only to learn later from this class that I took last semester that barely anyone lives like this down in Southern California. I always imagined this place like the piers that you see on the The O.C. and I guess that is exactly how it looked like. After going to Disneyland a day before, I didn't find it as amusing in terms of rides and games. Afterall, theme parks don't get as fun as Disneyland or six flags for the most part. We also walked around the Third Promenade. The stores were very nice and fancy. They even gave paper bags.

Kogi food truck! My friend has been telling me about this for quite some time and finally I get to try it.

After some time, I actually found this quite delicious.

More too come. Sorry, I'm doing this in parts. I have got quite a bit of photos to get through.

Toodles,

Let the Memories Begin [Part 2]

ok...I guess the title should be "the memories continues" but I have thing a with uniformity.

As promised, here is another dose. Mostly from California Adventure. We only manged to spend a short amount of time in there but it seems pretty cool. It reminded of a carnival. After going to Santa Monica Pier, I clearly see the resemblance of the what the park was built around it.

Inside Ariel's ride

Just testing the effects of photoshop on the two images.

The next series is actually quite awesome:

This sequence is pretty hilarious. I'm glad I was able to capture it. I would also like to point out the miss xuemin was carrying her purse on her soldier the whole time. lol yes, even when it turned 360.

This is actually a ride. Its kind of like the elevator drop at six flags. The concept of this ride is actually quite incredible.

Anyways, gotta attend a bathroom problem. More to come really soon!

Peace,
j

Let the Memories Begin [Part 1]

ok...I keep saying that I'm coming back from a hiatus but at least this time, Imma keep it coming. Well...for a bit at least.

Recently, I have gotten into quite a bit of photo editing so I suppose I'll turn this blog in my photo postings.

There is no better way to spend spring break than at the happiest place on earth...Disneyland! The reason why I have been very intrigued by the makings and happens at this magic land is that I have taken a classes on theme parks and cities like LA, specifcally Disneyland. So, it was really cool to see that theories that I learned in practice. Its hard to believe sometimes but all of what was said about this supposedly fantastical place is indeed true. I learned that Disney could be quite the creepy place if you think about it hard enough which is certainly true but hey, everyone seems to be having a good time and I suppose all that matters. Control, order and manipulation? I mean...who cares! As long as you get cha yourself outta there by midnight, I'm sure you'll be able to return to reality. Well, at least I managed to...or so I claim?

Anyways, enough analysis and more of the magic in pictures!

hmmm, no comment. I was expecting a sudden drop.

The gentlemen behind me seems to enjoying the infamous jumbo legs. More on that to come when Hang decides to purchase one herself.

someone's excited?

Whats Disney without princesses? Poor Hang followed her favorite princess, Ariel, across two lands only not to get a picture with her. Sad, Ariel pictures to come

The girl who took this picture for us clearly didn't get the memo of capturing the whole thing. Oh wells, the best I got of us at the entrance.

I love ride pictures. They really capture the moment.

There is so much more but the best is yet to come? I promise It'll come real soon.

Also, how cool is the new blogger layout. Liking it!

Until next time [real soon],
