Thank for Hogging the Ball, really.

Brady and offense couldn't keep up (from here)

There you have it. Another loss for the pats today. We saw the pats defense get exposed by the Steelers in almost every way possible. The tackles were bad and the secondary was at its worst. The Steelers offense were able to almost execute all their plays. The possession of the ball was on the Steelers side. The offense barely got anytime with the ball and with the minimal time they had with it, nothing much was done. Though the Pats offense usually saves the day, it wasn't enough to keep the pats going. The Pats offenses weren't able to convert as many third downs as they usually do and execution was lacking.

Tackles and coverage not made. The defense needs to step it up. (from here)

As Coach Belichick always says, "Do Your Job". Well, that didn't happen.

Lesson learned I suppose. You can only come back stronger. The defense really needs to get good. Quick.

On the bright side, we see Kevin Faulk back and making a couple of good plays, Vollmer and Mayo is back and Woodhead returning punts (Edelman was deactivated before the game though he seems to be healthy)?

Hoping the Pats can go back to work with a rough game tonight and turn around for next week and the weeks to come. I supposed the Belichick-Brady with the record of coach-qb wins is being held back another week.

After all, they rarely lose two games in a row. Watch out, Giants. There isn't much room for you at Gillette.

Now off to stuff myself with some ice cream.

Fall

(image from here)
Did I forget to mention that I love fall?

Snow

(photo from here)

So people and social media has been telling me that snow has fallen for the first time this season in New England tonight. I have to say...after sweating under the blazing hot sun here in Northern California, I'm starting to wish winter would come sooner. Though almost 3 years ago I made the decision to get away from the cold weather as far as possible (thus coming all the way across the country), I actually miss the snow. I used to remember the times when I sat in my room with a lamp on and looking out the window as I listened to either yoga or holiday music, watching the snow fall. You can call me a freak, but I miss those times. I miss those times when you finally know when winter is finally here when you feel the little flakes fall on your head. I miss the time when senior sledding was an actual night activity. I just miss being able to step outside with a pea coat, tights and uggs into the cold and frosty weather for some time and coming back to the heater. I miss those sudden moments of coldness that really reminds you of the beauty of the winter season.

The sun is great but somehow I have learned that a cold winter season never hurts to remind you of the beauty of seasons. For the longest time, I always thought summer was my season but I'm starting to realize that fall and winter might be the thing for me.

I miss the snow.

And, I still need to make my snow angel.

Off The Grid

Went to Off the Grid to check out the food trucks. Mostly a gourmet food trucks but still pretty good.

All the food trucks. Nice way to end the day.

Corn flake fried chicken sandwich. Interesting. The coleslaw in it was delicious.

Lavender lemonade. Call me weird but this was actually pretty delicious.

Salted Caramel and Tiramisu cupcakes from Cupkates. Finally got to try it after missing it around telegraph all the time.

Nice day to check out the food trucks.

Wade Robson's Choreography

This is really incredible. Its definitely a must watch. A Wade Robson routine is always amazing and awesome. He actually dances this routine which makes it especially rare since he rarely dances in his routines. I watched this a while ago when I watched season 5 of dancing with the stars but it is definitely worth watching over and over again.

B.o.B in HK

I guess I should share this because this video is pretty awesome and its made in my hometown!

New Design [Again]

So, I have been looking at some new fonts and I played around with photoshop a bit and decided to spiff up my blog. I made a new banner and some buttons.

I'll stop changing it eventually.

Things I like to Eat Recently

Who is ready for fall?
I definitely need to hook up with some pumpkin pie and apple cider soon to really get into the fall mood.

I mean Halloween is next week. No better excuse to munch on chocolate Got in touch with my favorite candy bar, Take 5s. I first tried them when my roommate gave some to me during sophomore year of high school

Yes, I baked this apple pie. I really did. I just didn't make it from scratch. Its a Sarah Lee one. But always good to have a dessert to munch on.

I only recently learned to like this delicious drink. And I just love it! Always good on a rough day with some samoas or junk food.Not a huge fan of seafood. Well, not a fan at all to be honest. But I guess this place is a must try in California, especially around here I suppose. After all that awesome sauce, definitely can't taste the shrimp itself at all. Oh, and the cajun fries were the bomb! Going back if I have the chance.

2 Shakes in a Day

Yeah, this didn't happen.

I'm sure facebook is flooded with gasping earthquake statuses, especially if you know people from the Bay Area. But still, I'm going to talk about it. Ironically, today was a drill day to prepare for the earthquakes.

Felt the first real shake today. Well...two to be exact. The first one came as I was in GPP class and all of the sudden you could feel the entire lecture hall ( a hall that fits approximately 600 people) shake. You would think that I would panic and think of a way to jet out of the room but no. Instead, I just starred at the ceiling as it shook.

Just when you're hoping that a 3.9 magnitude earthquake was enough for the day, another one came 5 hours later. This time, I just sat on my comfy green chair (yes, I love my green chair) and starred as it shoke again. I know.

Next time, I really need a game plan in case something happen. Somehow, both times, I did not even think of crawling under a table (at least thats what you're told to do). Not from the bay area, I was somehow fascinated that I was caught in the middle of a real shake. Then, I had a sudden panic moment afterward when I realized something bad could have happened.

Hoping thats the end of the shakes for now. I don't know if I'll be able to deal with one of a higher magnitude. Welcome to Northern California, folks.

Ha.

Long Time Coming

I know I'm really late and I should some how be embarrassed but for the first time, I figured out what it means.

Fidelitas et Integritas

New York, New York: Bringing Back the 60s

I have really gotten to like the 60s recently. You can call me a freak but I have been listening to the song "New York, New York" by Frank Sinatra for the whole evening. I don't know what about it is really helping get through the evening. It really brings back the 60s.

Heres a video from DWTS when Romeo and Chelsie performs a foxtrot. I don't care what you say. I think its awesome. He performed it really well!

Welcome to the 60s.

Dress that Needs to Fit

Also, someone needs to help me fit into this dress by December. My mom got it for me last summer and it didn't fit me last holiday. I'm really hoping I can fit into this holiday season. If not, I will potentially cry.

Writing Troubles

So usually, I don't have a problem with cranking something out but today even revising this writing exercise which is not much at all is giving a ton of trouble. I can't seem to concentrate and somehow all of this is giving me a headache.

I'd have to say today is kind of a weird day and I don't know why.

And I leave you with this cartoon I can always find some amusement in.

Holding On

Win is a win. Brady after the game winning TD.

This game definitely caught me off guard. Almost gave me a heart attack. This unfamiliar opponent which should have been a high scoring game turned out to be quite the ugly game.

But like any pats game, " In Bill We Trust" well, and Brady as well. Coming up with a TD in the last minute of the game. Hernandez cannot have made it rain any better with that game winning TD.

Welker's controversial TD. Only deemed a TD after being challenged.
The good:

Hernandez making it rainnnnnn. wooo

Arrington's pick in the 1st drive, Andre Carter's red zone sack (taking the cowboys back 11 yds at a critical time). I have to say the celebration from Carter is pretty awesome. More sacks from Carter when it was crucial. Welker and Hernandez's TD. Good plays from BJGE and Woodhead. Also, Brady stepping up when needed. All in all, the defense definitely got much better and made some critical third down plays which stopped the Cowboys TD attempts.

The (read) bad:
Bradys 2 interceptions, Welker and Hernandez incomplete pass making it interceptions (though I have to say both made up for it sooner or later), Matt Slater KO return that ended up in a fumble and picked up by the cowboys (even made it out to the 30 yd line too), offensive drives that led to many turnovers.

Also, I think it might be time for Ocho to bow out of here. Only attempted for one catch this game and deemed incomplete.

Can I just say how awesome it is when Hernandez makes it rain after a TD? I'm lovin' it! This one is particularly awesome because he "collects" it and throws it up before actually making it rain. Check it out: No sound on this one but heres a link to the clip on nfl.com here

Well, thats the second of the Ryan brothers going home unhappy. Get outta here.

And here are the game highlights:

Well a win is a win. BYE week coming up. Need to freshen up for the long season.

"In Bill We Trust"
Until next time,

Nails

Recently, I decided that I wanted to spiff up my nails and add some colors to it. Somehow my nails always end up black and occasionally red when I do paint my nails (which is actually rare). So, with the recommendation of my friend, Laura, I got a color from OPI. I got a violet shade called Iris I was Thinner. Spring colors make me so happy. I know...spring is over but hey, violet is such a pretty color.

Yeah, I have developed a sudden urge to paint my nails recently. Its actually quite fun though I'm not that good at it.

Weddings

Many friends are getting or are married this coming year and it really got me thinking about my future. Though it seems like possibly a million years away or quite possibly that it may never happen for me, it really brought me a moment of what I call "sappiness."

I have always pictured that scene from Mamma Mia when Donna is combing Sophie's hair on the day of to be what happens on my picture. Well obviously, not with the music as my mother helps me get ready.

The scene at the end of 27 dresses is how I always thought my day would be like, well minus the 27 bridesmaids. A kind of small and traditional affair. Pictured a venue to be outside (like the beach in 27 dresses) but also thought about a chapel or a church because I know that my mother would really like that. The dress that Katherine Heigl wears is so beautiful.

Jane: You know how the bride makes her entrance and everybody turns to look at her? That’s when I look at the groom. Cause his face says it all you know? The pure love there.

Everything I ever picture about my big day is really just depicted in those last moments of the movie. I love everything about that scene and I can only hope that day for me would for me.

I always pictured my father would walk me down the aisle. I hope my father would live long enough to do that. Somehow the moment when my mother helps me get ready and my father walking me down the aisle is really one of those moments that I fear would never happen.

Wow, speaking of fantasies of Hollywood movies, I just fell into one.

I could only hope that my day would come someday...

Revenge is Sweet

{Branch is Awesome!}

The win against the Jets is always better than beating any other team in the regular season. We finally got a revenge from the playoff loss last year. 30-21. Wasn't a smooth journey for the W but the Pats definitely pulled through. The defense definitely got better but still lots of things to work on.

{A new jumping shot. New this season!}
{Welker's 73 yd pass despite being covered by Revis for a large part of the game.}
The good.
The running back was good. The law firm got us 2 TDs. Deion Branch got a TD. 2 interceptions. Ocho definitely made plays but he still needs to make a TD but its good to see Ocho in a throwback jersey (too bad I can't find a picture of him in the throwback yet). Oh, and 73 yd pass to Welker!

The Bad
Brady's first red zone interception ever to who of all people he should not have throw to, Cromartie. That man will never stop talking after Brady made his wishes come true. I'm glad Damn, hes really pulling out the "firsts" bads this season. Ocho messes up and caused a penalty to the team.

Too bad Rex, you lost and it ain't about you and Belichick because he clearly doesn't care about you and puts a W on our board so what did you go besides from getting earning that blazer which clearly didn't help you get a win 3 games in a row? And, where is Southeastern?

Ok, thats too much trash talk.

Heres are the highlights from the game:

Until next time, jets.

Next up, cowboys!

Also, I know recently all I have been updating is on football related things but the week leading up to this rivalry game always gets me mad. The junk that comes out of the Jets is just unridiculous and gets me upset. But, now that is over (for a month, until we meet them next) I shall update y'all on some interesting things besides from all this.

Wow, I get really get caught up in all of this when football season is here.

Whose Ready for the Jets?

Lets talk some more football. This is an important week because the Jets are coming to Foxborough. Definitely some unfinished business from last season. Perhaps revenge will be sweeter this time.

Be warned. Below is pretty much a trash talk. Sorry, I can't help it when the Jets are coming.

Before a Pats-Jets rivalry, there is usually countless trash talking (well mostly from the Jets) but surprisingly everybody has been quite quiet for this upcoming game. Perhaps Rex Ryan decided that it wouldn't get him a W?

Heres a clip: here

I'm always amused to by what Rex says in this clip about Belichick's superbowl ring. I always think about how ridiculous comment is when I think about this rivalry.
"I never came to to kiss Bill Belichick's, you know, rings."
Well, Belichick didn't even offer to show them to you so kissing them will be a long shot.

Somehow, Rex Ryan always has a way to make a fool of himself when hatin' a great team. Wearing a hall of famer jacket does nothing when you're about to face the a future nfl hall of famer coach even before he retires from the game. That certainly one ups you, Rex. Why don't you go back and coach your team and teach Sanchez not to suck? And did you not realize he got his hall of fame award before you? And it is not a five star match up when all you're doing is trash talking and showing off your somewhat unattractive hall of fame jacket and Belichick is a man of class and not responding to any of the talk you're throwing at him.

Rex Ryan, can really talk but jealous much?

Ok, that was kind of mean but I can help but get pissed at this guy when the Pats have to play the Jets.

I guess only Sunday will tell who falls on top...

More from the Black Hole

I have kind of been kind of busy with school lately so never got a chance to update but here it is. From the game last Sunday, these pictures are more Raiders oriented. I mean the Coliseum was literally filled with raider fans and barely any pat fans.

Apple

I know its a little but still...
3 Apples changed the World, 1st one seduced Eve, 2nd fell on Newton and the 3rd was offered to the World half bitten by Steve Jobs.

RIP, Steven Jobs.

Brady's Hair Cut

As much as I'm liking Brady's new haircut from all that long hair. They are reading too much into it.

"Last Week was Just a Fluke"

"Last Week was Just a Fluke" is what my great friend, Steph, said when I was freaking about the loss last week and the horrible things I was thinking about the game in the black hole. But, the Pats survived and saw light in the black hole! Wow, everything in football came together today (well at least for me) but we managed to put in a W. The best part is that I got to witness it. I've to admit it was extremely difficult to be a Pats fan at the game against the raiders today. As much as I wanted to bold enough to rock my awesome Pats jersey, those raiders fans are crazy and there are were barely an Pats fans around. I understand though. It a hell of a long way to travel to watch the Pats play. But anyways here are view pictures that I took. Sorry, there were many heads in my way so I got the best of what I could.{Skydiving off a plane and onto the field. In honor of the soldiers that fought for the country. Really cool}

{coming onto the field. So cool!}

{My fellow game goer, Laura. Its such a beautiful day. Thanks for going with me!}

{Sorry, there wasn't much Pats stuff to take pictures of besides from the team. So, I resorted to other things. Here is Raider Jerry}

{Theres the great Coach Belichick. Brilliant.}

{Picture at the game. See how I'm disguised? lol}

Since most of my pictures are huddle pictures or when the game has stopped. Here are some cooler pictures (which I did not take but I wish I did)

Good things:
Wilfork's 2nd interception of the season (or ever!) It was kind of hard to catch him pick that ball of though. I watched the recap on nfl.com a couple times before I even saw it.

Heres a descent picture of my bro's pick. Kind of hard to photograph it since it was in the end zone in a mass of people in the huddle. (from here)

My brotha, Patrick Chung's pick in the end zone. Another critical play in the 1st half. I find it awesome that we have the same last name and even in the chinese character. lol

I love this shot. Welker in the end zone. (from here)

Wow, I really like this picture. Deion Branch. (from here)

Awesome TDs from Ben Jarvus Green Ellis,Wes Welker, Deion Branch and Ridley.

Ridley TD (from here)

The rookie running back, Ridley, had a day on the field with awesome runs and a TD.
A couple of great catches form Ochocinco.
No interceptions from Tom Brady.
Holding it together and staying strong till the end. Though kind of a stalemate from the beginning of the 4th quarter.

Here is Vince Wilfork's 2nd interception ever. Its a little hard to see him pick it off. You probably have to replay and pause a bit before you really see it but its awesome:

Here's not so good:
Jerod Mayo went down in the middle of the game. I hope he gets better soon because the defense is extremely banged up and we need the players back. The defense is already pretty bad. And, I'm hoping Devin Mccourty could pick someone off real soon.

Richard Seymour, a past Patriot, had 2 crucial penalties in the 1st quarter. One of which he threw Tom Brady to the ground after the whistle was blown. The game highlights commentator calls it a "hug" which I find kind of hilarious the way he put it.But that wasn't cool. Perhaps, he missed his old team. I mean, you can't help it. You gotta love em.

With my disguise, I even made a couple raider friends but too bad I wasn't on his side. He even high fived me. Here's the raider's "first down" man who was sitting right in front of us and almost almost got me deaf. At least he got everyone hyped up.

This ones for Sneha. The game highlights, hopefully the vpn will be long enough for you to watch it.

I've a couple more pictures that I took which I'm probably post up but its going to be overkill if I post them all up right now.

Also can I please mentioned, the Jets got crushed by the ravens and the Bills were handed their first lost from the bengals. Thank you, football gods. I love you.

The Pats-Jets rivalry heats up as they come to Gillette. Gonna be a tough week with quite a few injured and banged up but its time to put a foot in Rex Ryan's mouth. There is definitely unfinished business with the Jets and its about time to shut them down!

ok, I think I blabbered long enough and y'all don't want to be hearing about football much longer. Did I forget to mention I love looking through Pats photos?
