Farewell, Chuck.
I actually did not realize this until I turned on the TV last night, but one of my favorite TV shows has come to an end. To be honest, I actually did not like the show when it first aired. One summer I was so bored that I decided to give the show another try and I finished two seasons in a few weeks.
The thing I really like about Chuck is that the characters are pretty relatable in real life. Yes, there is a ton of spy action but the averageness that these characters are built upon appeals to me. In the midst of all the pretty awesome spy action, the social problems and stories that it portrays is actually pretty well written. The spy action isn't overplayed either. In a way, it also got me interested in working for the CIA and interested in cognitive science at some point. Its no joke.
The humor on the show is also really lighthearted which I really like. Its slightly kind of stupid but also extremely funny at the same time. Morgan and Chcuk also have the coolest and awesome friendship. No matter what happens, they also seem to have each others back and thats what I really like about that relationship.
Oh, and I'm going to miss Jeff and Lester. The coolest and also funniest employees of the Buy More. Whenever I think of Best Buy, my natural instinct is to call it the Buy More.
Chuck is definitely an everyday hero. He smart, relatable and funny character. I actually think he would be a pretty cool friend to have in real life.
The series finale is definitely somewhat bittersweet. As Chuck tries to get Sarah to remember their marriage and relationship (I thought it was really sad how Sarah lost all her memory at the end of the season), the flashbacks makes you smile. The ending is somewhat ambiguous but it leaves you wondering how the relationship ends. And, it leaves you wondering in a good way and putting a peace of mind to a cute and loving relationship.
"It'll be ok," says Chuck. I think they will be. And, we will be too.
Definitely needed to have a Chuck marathon in the very near future soon. You'll be missed, Chuck.
