It is time to...

Go home!
Yes, indeed it is time to head home. Its been almost four months since the last time I headed home. After a fast and eventful fall semester, I'm extremely excited for the holidays this year. I'm looking for to New Years Eve. New Years Even is a bigger event than birthdays and Christmas in my household. It is actually the biggest event in the entire year. Anyways, I still love the holiday spirit. The Christmas lights can't get any better in Hong Kong. Most importantly, I'm just extremely excited to spend time with my mother, the best person on this planet (yes, I love her though she can be a bitch sometimes. Oh, don't tell her I said that). Its been to long and miss her dearly.

On a side note, did I mention I really hate airports? Well, I do. Even though I find myself constantly returning to the airport, I really dislike it. Heres why:
Everything is so much more expensive
I always see it as a place of sadness, having to say goodbye to someone really gets to me. I've been a cry baby since I was born.
Security checks are ridiculous and takes too long.
It seems kind of funky.

There are a lot more reasons why but thats all I have so far.

But, I am extremely grateful to be able to go home for my favorite time of the year. Something is telling me that this is going to be a good one!

P.S: I'll probably be passed out when the Pats game is on tomorrow. Someone needs to keep a good guy of them for me.

Sailing Through Life

The One That Almost Wasn't

The game saving play.

Wow, I'm still in shock from this game. The last 6 minutes of this game really got me panicking. Actually this game got my nervous after first 5 minutes of the 1st quarter. It wasn't the prettiest win but a win is a win.

What was interesting going into this game was the transaction that happened on Saturday when they released Sterling Moore. That was another CB who gets released in a secondary/defense that is ranked dead last in the league in terms of yards allowed. Then, my bro, PChung is ruled out for the game which leaves several games in the secondary that needs to be filled. So, two wide receivers come in as cornerback and safety. Julien Edelman who seems to be able to work three way on the offense, defense and special teams. Interesting choice that they put Matthew Slater in at safety again. And, whatever happened to Sergio Brown getting the start?

This was like a back and forth shooting battle as one team scored and then the other responded immediately.

As much as the defense may be lacking and ranked pretty badly, they manage to make a critical play when you need them to most. Oh, I'm still waiting for Woodhead to make a touchdown this season. He got so close today (twice actually). He certainly has been playing well this season as well as taking on some new roles this season.

Shoutout to Gronk for breaking a tight end record with most receiving TDs. And, I'm sure he will be breaking this record a few more times by the end of this season.

The Good

Mayo's interception in the last 22 seconds of the game. Also thanks to Tracy White for that tackle.
Andre Carter's end zone sack in the very first drive which led to a touchdown by Big Vince.

Wilfork. First TD for the big man.

More TDs for Rob Gronkowski. Especially that one TD where he faked a block and received the ball. He then broke a tackle by a 260 lbs linebacker and continued to run for a TD. Also, did you catch the bit where Gronk goes and retrieves the ball that he broke the NFL record with after he spikes it? Its kind of funny.

Welker's TD
McCourty's interception. Though it didn't count because there was a penalty on the play, he made a critical play there for a second.

Oh, Woodhead also made some really good plays in the offense and so did Aaron Hernandez.

The Bad

Brady's endzone interception. Thats two this season so far and he hasn't really thrown one of those in a while. This also led to an extremely heated argument between him and Bill O'Brien that offensive coordinator. Belichick had to come over and calm everyone down.
Brady's communication with this receivers. The multiple incompletes in that one drive was extremely uncharacteristic of Brady and this offense. Welker, Branch, Gronkowski, Hernandez and Woodhead all missed passes from him. The one where Brady threw a pass intended to Woodhead was overthrown and it went straight over Woodhead's head. Common now, we all know that Woodheads not going to be able to catch that. There was just a series of miscommunications between Brady and the offense.

The Secondary! Needs serious help. They gave up so many plays to the Redskins today. And, somehow the condition of Jame Ihedigbo is worrying me because he seems to need to be escorted off the field at least once every game.
As much as I'm a Patriots fan, the personal foul on London Fletcher (Redskins) was kind of out of line. It was definitely a clean tackle by the linebacker and he didn't deserve that.

For once, I won't be drinking the haterade on Ocho today. He actually made a critical 3rd down play and there are so much more concerning things than him today.

Anyways, the state of this team continues to worry me especially with the Broncos coming up. Who knows what Tebow and them will pull on us. If the Pats played like this today and last week, I'm pretty sure Tebow will figure out how to put some points on the board next week.

Also, on an slightly unrelated note. I'm banking on the Raiders today in their game against the Packers.

In the interim, study hard if you're studying for finals and then we can all enjoy some more football next weekend.

Rolling Into December

Dynamic Duo.

Sorry, for the delay. I have been pretty bad at posting lately.

31-24. Taking it and moving on.

A bit of a surprise without Peyton Manning but a win is a win. What seems to be a blow out in the beginning ended in somewhat of a odd manner as the Colts got themselves into the end zone in the 4th quarter. This just shows that they need to keep working on holding people off and finishing games. Probably not overlooking their opponents either.

A bit of a surprise when they released Taylor Price on Saturday. Too bad he couldn't make it long but he and Brady must not have found the connection. In my opinion, I would take him any day over Ocho. Seriously? The issue with Ocho continues to really bother me.

GRONK SPIKE

A lot of this blog post is going to be about Gronk. If you couldn't tell already...

Dave Orlovsky's looking a tad bit uncomfortable.

But here we go again...
The Good

*Gronk. I think he needs no further explanation if you're a pats fan. The tight end with most receiving yards and touchdowns ever in football history. He found himself in the end zone 3 (freaking) times in the game and he was on fire. And, what tops off the TD? A giant, monster spike by Gronk.
*Welker continues to have a bit of receiving yards. Lots of yardage in this game.
*Arrington continues his interception streak

.
*Carter, Wilkfork and Ninkovich making some crucial sacks
*Slater in the secondary?
*Good catches by Hernandez.
*Nick McDonald for doing a solid job at center. Only got put to the active roster on Saturday.

The Bad
*The forth quarter. Somehow the game started to fall for the Pats in the 4th quarter with barely any scoring and allowing for TDs after holding the Colts off for a long period of time. I have yet to see what happens but I suppose I'll elaborate as soon as I watch it.
*Ocho needs to make more catches. Hes going to be on the bad list until he makes some seriously big plays like a TD.
*The running games seems to be a bit slow lately even with 4 rotating running backs in the game frequently.
*Defense seems a bit vulnerable and needs to continue to improve, especially in the 4th quarter.
--This is a bit difficult without watching the entire game and only watching the highlights from the NFL site since they only really show the good stuff when the team wins.

I shall elaborate more as soon as possible.

Get well, Peyton.

Also, did you catch the Peyton Manning calling the Pats fans "pretty classy"? Hell Yeah!

Anyways, off to take the Redskins down next weekend. Staying strong and hopefully crusing into the playoffs. The game they play after the Redskins really worry me. You can never be too sure when you're trying to hold off Tebow and his gang. As much as I like Tebow, I love the Pats more so hopefully, "In Bill We Trust" will bring us all to victory.

Before I leave, credit to the Giants for sticking with the Packers and fighting till the end. Today is the one day that siding with the Giants was acceptable in my case.

Anyways,

Maybe This Christmas...

The one person who never fails to have the best holiday spirit is Seth Cohen from the O.C. Yes, Christmukkah is an awesome concept. It isn't a holiday season until you've watched at least one of the Christmukkah episodes. It never fails to disappoint. They really bring the holiday spirit and gets your excited about it. I wish I was as festive as Seth.

Heres a clip with the O.C holiday song with scenes from the Chrismukkah episodes:

Where can you get one of those Christmas sweaters that Seth wear? I think they're awesome

Its been a While

So, it has been quite some time since I last updated. School has really gotten me running awhile. Not the end of it yet but definitely have some breathing room for now.

But, its the holidays!

Anyways, things I have been up to lately...
*upgraded my phone! Now, I don't have to complain anymore. I'm actually not as enthusiastic about my new phone as I was when I first got the iphone 3 over 2 years ago. And, Siri needs help.

*made my own sweet potato casserole. I love the idea of it with marshmallows on the top. I really liked baked marshmallows. I think thats what really gets me to want some of it. I might as well just put marshmallows in the oven instead. But, it was fine the first time. Definitely need to work on it.

*Gotten into the holiday spirit but putting up some lights in my apartment with a few decor.

*Bought myself a mini tree. Well, its a rosemary plant shaped like a Christmas tree. You can even pick some off for cooking and such! Its got a name, I named it Mary.

*Went to the ferry building in SF and ate a place called Gotts. I supposed it was good but I don't know about the prices. But, there were a lot of things I really wanted to get at the building. I got some gingersnaps from Milettes. Its a cute little bakery. Definitely need to go back to look some more.

*Satisfied my craving. Wingstop. I have recently grown a love for this fast food though I know its never good to eat that stuff but it is much too delicious not to go! Garlic Parmasean is the way to go.

*Went to Phil Sliders. The homemade ginger ale was interesting. It was a little too sweet for my liking but I really like homemade sparkling drinks so that would do. We had the regular and portebello slider. The sliders were delicious though many claim that tater tots are the best. I guess they're pretty good.

*Obsessed with pinterest. I love looking at it, especially when I'm bored at work. I shall share some of the things I really like really soon.

*I got some holiday movies. My all time favorite: Elf and Home Alone. You can never go wrong on those holiday choices.

*Online shopping? I don't know whether thats a good thing or not but I'm getting really into it.

*Cheering on my favorite team in the world! Patriots. Keep it strong as the regular season is coming to an end. Check below for the most updated post about the Pats.

Here's a bunch of random pictures recently with my iphone. I'm really liking the camera on my new phone though:

That me in my holiday home outfit. I guess I like playing dress up. I just really wanted a robe. lol Sorry, I look like a mess.

Xuemin insisted that I use my phone to take a picture of her with those lanterns. Hola, Jan. I hope you found your way to my blog.

Thats me and Mary!

Happy Holidays from the weirdos of #49!
