Today is a great day in football.
What a great shot.
41-23. Handing Tebow and Broncos a loss in almost 6 games.
This game really got me worried. All the talk about Tebow really got me to below an upset could have happened. As much as I'm a gators fan during Tebow's time, Brady and Co. was definitely a priority.
Since I'm home, I was expecting to wake up and see the final score. Because of jetlag, I got up at 7am and saw the score at 27-16 and almost rejoiced, thinking that the game was over. Only to find that it was only the start of the second half. It got me worried because Tebow magic supposedly sparks in the second half, especially in the 4th quarter.
Tebowtime did not work with the patriots today. Tebow has been so hyped up this week. Everywhere I look something about Tebow is on. But I guess all this Tebow hype didn't live up to it. I mean we have Brady and Belichick. Nothing beats the dynamic duo. I mean Brady doesn't like to share the spotlight with others.
Lots of firsts for many Pats today in the game. I think I'm going to chill out on the Ocho haterade just for a bit. With Branch out for the game, the 2nd receive spot was up for grabs with Ocho, Underwood and Edelman.
The Bronco's defense just couldn't up with Brady and offense. There were several key penalties on the Broncos that really helped the offense move forward. The Pat's defense also held up. Playing against Tebow involves lots of scrambling and the defense definitely was prepared for most of that.
All in all, the Pats is rolling and improving at the right time. They're definitely needed to get the momentum going heading into the playoffs.
The Good
*Ocho made this first regular season TD for the Pats! After 15 weeks, we can finally turn to Ocho for some points. Still a bit disappointed about this time with the Pats but I think the expectations for him at New England has definitely fallen since training camp.
*I have been waiting so long for this. Danny Woodhead's first TD for the season! The Pats cult hero made it so close to the endzone several times this season but never really got there. They've said that his role has changed this year but I'm so glad he made a touchdown this year! You don't know how long I have been waiting for it.
*Rob Ninkovich's 28 yd sack loss on Tebow. Ninkovich really had to chase him down and pin him to the ground. He also managed to recover the fumble in the first half.
*Hernandez's first TD in a while. Also made lots of good plays throughout the game. I love it when Hernandez makes it rain.
*Gronk's 38 yd completion. We didn't see much on his explosiveness this game but there is definitely is time to get gronk in the game.
*Brady's 1 yd rushing TD. First in a long time. He then gives the Gronk spike which I find really funny.
*Mark Anderson was definitely a star player today. He had many sacks and he also manages to recover a fumble after sacking Tebow.
*BJGE's TD. A critical TD to separate ourselves from the game.
The Bad
The Pats needs to rolling early.
Andre Carter being injured. Good thing Mark Anderson continued the strong play throughout the game.
Brady's sack. It was fast and hard.
In other football news...
THE PACKERS ARE NO LONGER UNDEFEATED! Leaving the Pats the reigning holder of an undefeated regular season. Thank you, Chiefs. You really ambushed them. Props to Romeo Crennel on this first game and giving the Chiefs on their first loss. What a great day to watch the Chiefs.
The Jets gets stomped all over by the Eagles.
The Colts finally getting their first win against the Titans. They are no longer winless!
The Texans lose. This helps with the playoff seeding at the end of the regular season.
With the Jets loss, the Patriots are now the AFC East Division winners! Sending them to the playoffs!
Moving on with more wins, looking to squish the fish once again this season!
Until next time,
