37-16. Holding onto the AFC East 1st.
Just when Rex Ryan and co. thinks this is their time to take over, the Jets get taken down cold and brutally. The Pats definitely did not let what a reporter called tonight's game "change of guards" happen.
What do you do when you're down to your very last man on your defense? You fight as hard as you can.
And they did exactly that.
What is really great about tonight's game is that an extremely thin secondary really stepped up. The defense in general are missing some key players and ranked pretty much last in the league but they really were at their best. With PC, Fletcher and Spikes out of the game, they really held on well and some extremely good plays by the defense on tonight's game.
Belichick and Tom Brady breaks another record as the coach-starting quarterback pair with most wins. 117 wins after tonight's W.
Heres what comes as always,
The Good.
4.5 Sacks by Andre Carter. He played at Cal. woo
Ninkovich with 2 interceptions and this one for a pick 6!
First, the Defense! Tom Brady completing many passes with no interceptions, Rob Gronkowki's TDs (though the celebration spike was a doosy), Branch TD, Andre Carter's 4.5 Sacks (setting a new franchise record), Ninkovich's two interception with a one of those a pick 6, the secondary which is extremely banged up holding on and contributing big time. Ocho's finally making two critical catches (Thank God he finally showed up!)
After TD. Oops. That was a doosy. That was an awesome spike though.
Devin Mccourty injured, Jame Ihedigbo banged up (but got back in shortly after), don't know whether this is really a bad but Julian Edelman as a corner (WR) in the last minutes of the game? Welker trapped on "Revis Island" for a bit, Wilfork picking a fight which costed a penalty, the safety point made in the first half, Gronk's "unsportsman conduct" spike costing a 15 yd penalty. In general, nothing too serious/nutty besides that 2 point safety made in the first half,
MNF next! Matt Cassel is coming back to Foxborough! As much as I think hes awesome, I'm still a Pats fan.
Hopefully that be the last time we see the Rex and the Jets this season. (I highly doubt that, though)
Turn up the music and bring out the ice cream because young tubs is happy!
Toodles,
Dude you should totally work for the Patriots media or public relation department after you graduate.
