During Thanksgiving, Big Vince probably chowed down a big bird but then he wanted more afterwards so he and the Patriots looked to the eagles. I guess the Pats managed to get more than turkey for Thanksgiving, they got the eagles. I guess Big Vince was a happy man on Sunday.
This game turned out to be better than expected. The defense continued to improve and the offense seems like they got the machine running earlier than before which is good. As the last 5 games comes, it is definitely critical time to step up and it seems like the Pats are doing exactly that.
Oh, and all concerns about Brady's arm might be put to rest for now as he showed everyone that he can make some good and accurate throws. And, all things with the Patriots should be fine for now.
Breaking the plane for a TD
I haven't watch the entirety of the game so I'm relying on game highlights and news that I have read thus far. But, here we go once again...
The Good
Welker's 2 TDs after several weeks of minimal catches, Branch's 63 yd play, Brady's 3TDs, Molden's interceptions, good runs by the Law Firm (BJGE. Sorry, this name is too long to spell out), Edelman's versatility. He can do just as about anything: special teams, offense and now defense? He several good tackles during the game.
The Bad
Nothing major or alarming I suppose. Heres a couple that I thought of off the top of my head. The offense's early drive is stagnant, Underwood's missed catch. He was open but he just barely missed the catch, Pat Chung is inactive again and so is Spikes and Dane Fletcher. Critical players that need to come back now, now a bad but could be better-secondary. Finally, the thing we all wonder, WHERES OCHO? Its really starting to bother me that he hasn't made any big contributions thus far. The same question gets asked every week with much frustration. Now hes out with an injury? Perhaps its time for him to bow out.
The word around town is that its going to be a breeze from here on out with a top seed in the AFC for the playoffs. But yet again, you can never get too comfortable especially with the Broncos coming up in two weeks. Tebow can really mess with you. Hopefully, Belichick would be smart enough to stop him then.
As for now, next up...Colts. Familiar face but missing the man of the team. Manning. Now, what fun would that be considering they're 0-12? But the work still needs to be put in.
Looking forward to a cruising Sunday this week!
