A Lake on an Elevation- Puno

Another 5 hour road trip today. Today was quite boring. We drove through the Colca Canyon onto Puno. The city build around Lake Titicaca. The lake is the biggest lake built on an elevation at around 3800. On our way, we made a stop at the highest point of the trip at 4910m with the 8 main volcanoes of Peru around us. My mom and I got a little crazy with the alpaca stuff that they were selling. We saw a giant herd of alpacas and llamas crossing on the road. The wildlife in the mountains of Peru is awesome! I wish I could take an alpaca home with me. Anyways, when we got to the hotel at Puno (Casa Andina Private Collection), we sat outside for lunch around the beautiful lake. My parents and I then headed to the city center (3km from the hotel) and we walked around. We walked through a local market and it was really awesome so see how the markets work in Peru. Its somewhat primitive but interesting. Anyways, here are a view pictures from today.

1. Herd of llamas and alpacas. The wildlife in Colca is amazing!
2. Familia at 4910m!
3. On Lima street in Peru.
4. At the local markets of Peru.

Tomorrow: The famous islands on Lake Titicaca. Finally get to go on a boat trip. Awesome!

Until later,
